The Ministry of Transport, National Railway Administration, Civil Aviation Administration, State Post Bureau and China State Railway Group issued an Action Plan for AI+Transport applications, directing R&D and testing of end-to-end large AI models for intelligent driving. Work will target highway freight, logistics parks/campus transport and short-distance shuttles; develop and validate intelligent evaluation technologies and explore hybrid virtual–real test sites. The plan prioritises trunk routes for bulk cargo—minerals, containers and grain—for integrated intelligent-driving field validation, aiming to drive technical cost reductions and quality/efficiency gains in freight transport.
