Oman announced early on the 24th it has coordinated with the International Maritime Organization to open a temporary sea lane through the Strait of Hormuz for all vessels, citing its responsibility for the strait and its importance to the global economy. ABS data show Australia’s May CPI fell 0.7% MoM and slowed to 4.0% YoY from 4.2% (market had expected -0.4% MoM, 4.3% YoY).
