Coverage extends to all fields in the Guiding Catalogue for Promotion and Application of First Unit (Set) Major Technical Equipment (2024 edition). In principle, complete machines will be supported on a unit (set) basis; core systems, key components, major equipment key supporting items and basic parts will be supported in principle on a batch basis. Lower-value single-unit machines—such as high-end industrial machine tools, specialized electronic equipment, new agricultural machinery and precision instruments—may be supported by batch; higher-value single items—such as aero engines, ship engines and other high-value core systems or key components—may be supported on a unit (set) basis.
