CENTCOM said on June 19 its forces conducted an airstrike in northwest Syria that killed senior Islamic State (ISIS) figure Ali Husayn al-'Ulaywi. CENTCOM described the precision strike as part of ongoing U.S. operations to disrupt and defeat terrorists plotting attacks against U.S. citizens overseas or the homeland and said it will continue to coordinate with regional partners.
