MOFCOM and eight other departments issued a notice on measures to boost auto aftermarket consumption, directing establishment of a formal management framework for vehicle modifications. Authorities will draft policies to promote the auto modification market, introduce tiered and classified supervision, publish a catalogue of permitted modification projects, and refine vehicle inspection and change-of-registration requirements.
