CFTC: For the week ended June 16, speculative positions in NYMEX and ICE natural-gas futures flipped to a net long of 1,332 contracts, an increase of 30,288 contracts from the prior week.

ASEAN secretary-general said at a Jakarta forum marking the 5th anniversary of the China‑ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership that ASEAN and China should deepen cooperation to address rising global challenges, prioritizing peace and stability, digital transformation and innovation, energy cooperation, resilience to transnational threats, and people‑to‑people connectivity. China’s ambassador to ASEAN said Beijing is willing to expand cooperation with ASEAN in the digital economy, AI, clean energy, blue‑economy development, agriculture and climate-change response to promote innovation and green, sustainable growth in the region.

Guangzhou Railway Bureau said it transported 6.992 mln passengers during the 2026 Dragon Boat holiday (June 19-21), up 82,000 passengers or 1.2% YoY, a record for the period. Peak flow was on June 19 with 2.905 mln passengers; a return peak occurred on June 21 and flows remained elevated. Travel was dominated by family visits and tourism, with student and business travel secondary; patterns showed concentrated departures on day one, steady mid-holiday movement and an orderly return. Short- and medium-distance trips accounted for a large share, with highest demand on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area intercity services and intra-provincial routes in eastern and western Guangdong. Railway operations were reported safe and orderly throughout the holiday.
