Haikou Customs said Hainan island duty-free shopping totaled 202 mln yuan from June 19-21, with 34,700 shoppers and 159,000 items sold. Compared with the same period last year, sales rose 8.6%, shopper numbers rose 11.2% and items sold rose 1.9%.

Vessel-tracking shows three US‑sanctioned VLCCs—Elva, Virgo and Vigor—entered the strait on Monday carrying about 6 mln barrels of Iranian crude, en route to waters off Singapore. The tankers loaded at Kharg Island, Iran’s main export terminal, adding to roughly 20 mln barrels recently exported from Chabahar in the Gulf of Oman. The shipments indicate Iran is rapidly restoring crude production and resuming loadings from Kharg as cargoes can now reach global markets unimpeded.
