At a June 22 forum the Central University of Finance and Economics and Zhaoqi Supply Chain open-sourced WorkMate, a 'super AI' workplace assistant. Commercial rollout will focus on the plastics sector — annual trading in plastics exceeds 2 tln yuan and involves about 300,000 upstream and downstream firms — using open-source trials, feedback and co-development to establish industry standards. The partners plan horizontal expansion into non-ferrous metals, agricultural commodities and building materials.
