Spot gold rose more than 1.00% intraday, trading at $4,197.44/oz. Spot silver broke above $66/oz, up 1.83% on the day.

On June 21 local time, Israeli national security minister Itamar Ben‑Gvir told a media interview the whole of Lebanon should be "Israel's playground" and a target for strikes. On ongoing US–Iran talks he said Iranians should be "bombed, bombed, bombed again", called the US naive, and said the US should not compromise with Iran or sign any agreement. He added he does not fear any condemnation.
