Israel's interior minister Ben‑Gvir said Israel must make clear to the world that the security of its citizens is not a joke, regardless of how much it respects the United States, and said the whole of Lebanon should be burned. He said protecting Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers is the government's primary duty and takes priority over other considerations.
