Shenzhen's Luoling urban-village redevelopment in Luohu district, the first government-led project under the city's new residential project rules, hit a key milestone on June 17 when authorities published the comprehensive plan, including demolition boundaries, redevelopment-unit layouts and relocation compensation. The project moves into substantive implementation and may provide a model for urban-village redevelopment in Shenzhen and other Chinese megacities.
