Strait of Hormuz, according to state-aligned media, formalizing oversight of the
key shipping corridor. Lawmakers aim to finalize the bill within days. The move
comes as traffic through the strait has largely stalled amid the conflict with
the US and Israel, disrupting global energy flows. The Islamic Revolutionary
Guard Corps has warned vessels tied to US and Israeli allies would be barred,
reinforcing threats that the waterway is effectively closed.
