China’s most active futures contracts were mostly higher by midday, with the
container freight index (Europe route) rising more than 6%, and lithium
carbonate, tin, fuel oil and benzene up over 4%. Low-sulfur fuel oil,
polysilicon, ethylene glycol, styrene, SC crude and aluminum gained more than
3%, while caustic soda fell over 4% and synthetic rubber and industrial silicon
dropped more than 2%.
