According to Iran's Tasnim News Agency, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Jalali revealed that during a three-hour meeting between Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Rezaei and Russian President Putin, the two sides reviewed the latest developments in their large-scale strategic cooperation in a highly coordinated atmosphere. During the talks, the Iranian side elaborated on the Islamic Republic of Iran's important decision to accelerate the construction of the Rasht-Astara railway and improve the international north-south transport corridor. Furthermore, the two sides reviewed and discussed in depth the operational aspects of the strategic mega-project of Russian natural gas delivery to Iran and other areas of mutual cooperation, demonstrating that Tehran and Moscow share a completely consistent position on deepening bilateral and regional relations.
