Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi stated that in the past 48 hours, he held separate telephone conversations with the foreign ministers of Oman, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Cyprus, Turkey, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, Iraq, and Pakistan, exchanging views on the latest regional and international situation and the impact of actions taken by the United States and Israel that have escalated tensions. Araqchi stated that during the calls, he reiterated Iran's principled position, emphasizing that all countries should respect national sovereignty, cease aggression and threats, and avoid destructive interference from external forces. He also pointed out that regional countries have a responsibility to prevent the further spread of insecurity. He further stressed that Iran has the right to legitimately defend its sovereignty and national security, and that regional security arrangements should be established without interference from major powers outside the region.
