Nov. 6 — NDRC Director Zheng Zhaojie chaired a meeting with private-sector firms from petrochemicals, electronics, hog farming and superhard materials to solicit views on implementing year‑end economic work and designing next‑year policies. Executives said the complex domestic and external environment remains a drag, but recent incremental policy measures and tighter capacity control in key industries are stabilizing some niche markets. Firms reported active self-adjustment, accelerated transformation, and strong production/sales in parts of emerging sectors, sustaining business confidence. Attendees requested stronger support on financing and energy access, clearer/optimized application of the government’s “two heavy” and “two new” policy measures, tougher action against disorderly or irrational competition, and enhanced capability building for private entrepreneurs to broaden space for private investment.
