The Yemeni government forces announced the capture of the strategically important Mount Numan and Dar Qafir areas in Lahj province. According to a statement from the Yemeni government forces, a rapid military operation was launched overnight, targeting Mount Numan and the Dar Qafir area, both located in southern Lahj province overlooking the Al-Wazi’iyah and Al-Madaribah regions. The statement said the operation first involved a controlled infiltration maneuver to encircle the target areas, followed by an advance towards the relevant positions and the commencement of operations in the early morning. The statement added that Houthi-linked personnel were forced to retreat, abandoning casualties, weapons, and ammunition.
