The Secretary-General of the Arab League stated that the chances of peace are dwindling and called for a clear timetable, in accordance with international resolutions, to end the Israeli occupation and promote the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. According to Al-Shorouk, Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmi, speaking at the UN General Assembly, said that the Palestinian people are not seeking a special solution or demanding additional concessions that violate the framework of international law. He said that the Palestinian people, based on the reality and their fundamental rights, demand the establishment of a state with Jerusalem as its capital, a goal that is consistent with international resolutions and the relevant frameworks recognized by all parties.
