India's oil minister Puri said India has no plans to impose diesel export
restrictions even if the US moves to curb overseas diesel shipments to ease
domestic fuel prices. "We will stand by our commitments," he said, citing recent
refinery expansions and ongoing capacity-boosting investment. Kpler data show
India has surpassed Russia to become the world's second-largest seaborne diesel
exporter year-to-date, supplying roughly 10% of seaborne diesel exports and
increasingly filling global supply gaps amid disruptions elsewhere.
