Denmark's Defense Intelligence Service said in a threat assessment on Thursday
that Russia is likely to intensify hybrid warfare over the coming months,
conducting more frequent attacks on Western countries and NATO that could cause
more severe consequences than before. The assessment, issued after Germany
Russia accused of an attempted drone strike on Leipzig/Halle airport, has
renewed concern about hybrid and disruptive activity by Russia in Europe and
prompted calls among EU members for a new round of sanctions.
