Shanghai Financial Regulatory Bureau published measures encouraging banks and
insurers to deploy artificial intelligence to optimize intelligent marketing and
omnichannel service, raising service efficiency, precision and customer
experience. The measures push intelligent redesign of business processes and
deeper AI use in lending, claims adjudication and operations to boost efficiency
and risk management. They mandate strengthened internal-management automation
across office functions, investment research, R&D and operations, and require
building intelligent risk-control systems with multidimensional models to
improve forward-looking monitoring and prevention of media/public sentiment
risks, illegal fundraising, fraud and money laundering. The regulator supports
cautious exploration of next‑generation intelligent terminals and finance
intelligent agents provided risks remain controllable, aiming to shift services
from digital enablement to intelligence-driven delivery.
