The second meeting of the China‑Uzbekistan law enforcement and security
cooperation mechanism was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu on the 23rd, co-chaired by
Politburo member and Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission Secretary
Chen Wenqing and Uzbekistan Presidential Security Council Secretary Mahmudov.
Chen said China is willing to jointly implement leaders' consensus and fully use
the mechanism to strengthen counterpart exchanges between law‑enforcement and
security agencies. Both sides agreed to upgrade cooperation and expand joint
enforcement against terrorism, separatism and extremism, telecom network fraud,
cross‑border gambling and other transnational crimes, deepen cybersecurity
cooperation and protection of overseas interests, enhance multilateral
coordinate and promote high‑quality development of the Belt and Road
Initiative.
