On Sept. 23 Guizhou governor Li Bingjun hosted a roundtable with AI
entrepreneurs and called for research to introduce stronger, more targeted
support policies. He urged leveraging Guizhou’s stable power supply, leading
compute-capacity base and diverse application scenarios to spur corporate
innovation. He directed consolidation of compute resources, tighter coordination
between compute and power, and stronger use of existing intelligent-computing
centers to cement AI infrastructure support. He pushed for wider opening of
application scenarios and public data, dynamic updating of demand lists and
improved supply–demand matching, accelerating representative deployments in key
industries and in education, healthcare and audiovisual sectors to address
systemic issues and cultivate new growth drivers. He also called for enhanced
talent services and support for companies as primary recruiters and users of
talent.
