0.1% MoM, a narrowing of 0.2 percentage points from June. International price
swings drove domestic gasoline down 10.7% MoM — a 5.8ppt larger decline than in
June — subtracting about 0.35ppt from July MoM CPI. AI-led product upgrades
raised consumer electronics prices: tablets +11.3%, computers +5.5%, mobile
phones +1.0%, together adding roughly 0.03ppt to MoM CPI. Summer travel demand
lifted service prices — travel agencies +7.2%, hotels +6.5%, airfares +4.2%,
vehicle rental +3.6% — contributing about 0.10ppt to MoM CPI.
