NBS chief statistician Dong Lijuan said July headline CPI fell 0.1% MoM and rose
0.5% YoY; core CPI (ex-food and energy) rose 0.3% MoM and 0.9% YoY. Some
domestic-sector demand increased, but imported and seasonal factors weighed on
producer prices: PPI fell 0.7% MoM and rose 3.5% YoY, with the YoY gain 0.6ppt
lower than June.
