The New York Times, citing sources, reports U.S. stockpiles of Patriot
interceptors have fallen below 1,700 after heavy use in hostilities with Iran.
The paper says the U.S. military has expanded more than 1,500 Patriot missiles;
the Trump administration is working with defense contractors to accelerate and
scale production, but replenishment would still take more than two years. The
report adds U.S. forces have effectively exhausted inventories of some
long‑range munitions, including the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) and
Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM).
