Paris-based startup Gradium, which provides voice AI models, announced on Thursday that it has reopened its seed funding round to new investors, including Nvidia, bringing the total funding to $100 million. The company plans to use the funds to open an office in the San Francisco Bay Area and compete for local talent, a move Gradium states aims to "solidify its position at the heart of the world's leading AI ecosystem." While Paris is a major AI hub in Europe, this move also reflects recognition of the benefits AI startups can gain by being close to giants like Anthropic, Google, Meta, and OpenAI.
