Axios says CENTCOM is coordinating Israel and Lebanon to push implementation of
arrangements for a southern Lebanon "pilot zone." A Rome meeting will hold
closed-door consultations; senior Israeli and Lebanese negotiators will then
hand the issue to technical teams. The US says it will soon engage international
partners to assist the Lebanese government in restoring sovereign control over
the area and more broadly across the country.
