The 2026 Fiat Topolino is now the most affordable new car on the U.S. market, but it may not appeal to all drivers. While compact and all-electric, its practicality for daily commuting is limited by its short range and low top speed. The Topolino starts at $13,995, lower than the 2026 Nissan Versa ($17,390). Its Dolce Vita version also starts at $13,995 but features an open design with rope-like "doors" and a roll-up soft top. It measures only 99.6 inches long, 56.4 inches wide, and 61.2 inches high. While inexpensive, its performance figures may be prohibitive. It's equipped with a 6-kilowatt electric motor producing a paltry 8 horsepower, a top speed of approximately 19 mph (30 km/h), and an all-electric range of 46 miles (74 km).
