Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) have launched the first phase of their collaborative project to build a large-scale charging center dedicated to DTC's electric taxi fleet. The Managing Director of DEWA and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of DTC Group jointly unveiled the charging center. Located at DTC's headquarters in Muhaisnah 4, Dubai, the center is equipped with 24 next-generation ultra-fast charging stations, each with a power output of 360 kilowatts. This move is part of a long-term strategic agreement signed between DEWA and DTC during WETEX 2025, which aims to deploy over 200 ultra-fast charging stations for DTC's electric vehicle fleet, significantly contributing to the development of Dubai's green mobility infrastructure.
