Iran’s foreign ministry said the United States, in the past 48 hours, launched
attacks on Iran under the pretext of responding to alleged illicit vessel
transits in the Strait of Hormuz, actions it said openly violate the UN Charter
and materially breach Articles 1 and 5 of the Temporary Ceasefire Agreement,
with Washington using the incident to justify continued non‑compliance.
