On July 9 CHINA’s foreign ministry said it is prepared to work with N. KOREA to
strengthen strategic communication, deepen exchanges and cooperation, and
advance traditional bilateral ties under guidance from top-leader consensus. The
ministry noted this year marks the 65th anniversary of the China–N. KOREA Treaty
of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance and that both sides have agreed
to hold joint commemorative events.
