At midday closing, most domestic futures contracts rose, with SC crude oil and fuel oil rising nearly 4%, low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) rising over 3%, plastics and the average monthly plastic contract rising nearly 2%, and styrene (EB), pulp, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) rising over 1%. On the downside, lithium carbonate and container shipping to Europe fell over 5%, Shanghai silver fell nearly 3%, cotton and palladium fell over 2%, rapeseed fell nearly 2%, and cotton yarn and platinum fell over 1%.
