The National Healthcare Security Administration said at its 1H 2026 briefing
that drugs added to the 2025 national medical insurance drug list are stocked at
about 310,000 designated medical institutions and have been used in more than
12.0 million patient visits. From Jan–May, the national medical insurance fund
spent 2.636 bln yuan on these new drugs, supporting 3.946 bln yuan in drug
sales. Uptake is pronounced for some high‑profile products: the hyperlipidemia
Yingkesilan treatment is now available in nearly 1,700 designated medical
institutions and retail pharmacies.
