1. According to sources, Apple is testing DRAM memory chips from Changxin Memory Technologies (CXMT) for use in devices sold in the Chinese market. 2. Apple is pushing the US government to ease restrictions, hoping to allow US tech companies to use CXMT products more widely, but has not yet decided on formal adoption. 3. CXMT has become the world's fourth-largest DRAM manufacturer, after Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron. Its global DRAM wafer capacity accounts for 11% of the market, and is expected to increase to 15% by 2028. New production lines are located in Hefei, Shanghai, and Beijing. 4. CXMT is pushing forward with its A-share IPO, with a potential valuation of up to 3 trillion yuan. The IPO proceeds will primarily be used for capacity expansion, R&D of next-generation DRAM, and accelerating its HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) deployment. (Financial Times)
