8 about 1,490 km east‑southeast of Keelung, Taiwan, over the northwest Pacific,
with maximum winds near the center of 60 m/s (super‑typhoon strength). It is
expected to move west to west‑northwest at 15–20 km/h with little change in
intensity, may make landfall or brush northern Taiwan on daytime July 11 (super‑
or strong‑typhoon intensity), then is likely to make landfall along the Fujian
(Fuqing) to Zhejiang (Wenling) coast on the night of July 11 (strong‑typhoon or
typhoon intensity) before gradually weakening.
