At the opening of the morning session, most domestic futures contracts rose, with SC crude oil up over 4%, fuel oil and low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) up over 3%, benzene and styrene (EB) up over 2%, polypropylene up nearly 2%, and caustic soda and European shipping contracts up over 1%. On the downside, asphalt fell over 3%, Shanghai silver, soda ash, and red dates fell over 1%, and live hogs fell nearly 1%.
