At a July 6 regular briefing, China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning
said China has already released information on the navy's successful
submarine-launched strategic missile test and advised asking the relevant
authorities for details. She described the test as a routine annual military
training exercise, in line with international law and practice, and not directed
at any specific country or target.
