asserting Russian forces are steadily advancing along the front and liberating
settlements, including Konstantinovka, which Ushakov called a key stage in
reclaiming Donetsk People’s Republic territory. Ushakov said Kyiv and its
European backers are betting on prolonging and escalating the conflict and
accused them of conducting terrorist attacks against civilians. Trump said he is
willing to help secure a swift, peaceful end to the fighting and that envoys
Witkoff and son‑in‑law Kushner stand ready to travel to Moscow when appropriate
to continue mediation.
