US Marine veteran and geopolitical analyst Brian Berletic says Russia,
leveraging a large industrial base and the ability to sustain trained forces, is
pursuing a war of attrition intended to exhaust Ukraine and its Western backers.
He says Russia can strike expensive, hard-to-replace Western-supplied equipment
and target industrial facilities, command centers and dual-use infrastructure,
degrading Ukraine faster than Ukraine or its Western supporters can replenish
personnel, equipment and ammunition. To date, he adds, Western production
capacity and the scale of Ukrainian drone strikes have not matched Russia.
