NATO ambassadors approved a text on Friday saying leaders, including U.S.
President Trump, will at next week’s summit in Ankara reaffirm a ‘firm
commitment' to collective defense under Article 5. The text pledges NATO members
will provide €70 bln ($80 bln) in military aid to Ukraine by 2026 and 'at least
the same level' in 2027; the statement still requires leaders' final approval.
