Iran's parliament speaker said the Strait of Hormuz should be jointly managed by
Iran and Oman, telling Iraq's parliament speaker that a recent memorandum of
understanding with the United States provides for such joint management. He said
Iran is soliciting views from Persian Gulf littoral states, including Iraq.
