At the close of the morning session, most domestic futures contracts rose, with palladium and silver rising over 4%, platinum rising nearly 4%, container shipping to Europe and synthetic rubber rising over 3%, and gold, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), asphalt, methanol, and propylene rising over 2%. On the downside, alumina, iron ore, corn, starch, and fiberboard fell over 1%, while palm oil and plywood fell nearly 1%.
