WHO described Marburg virus disease as a severe viral hemorrhagic fever with symptoms including high fever, headache, muscle pain, diarrhea, vomiting and bleeding. Studies indicate the virus’s natural reservoir is the Egyptian fruit bat; transmission to humans can occur and human-to-human spread is possible via direct contact and infected bodily fluids.

They added some Gulf Arab officials privately share the view, though it may not reflect official government positions. It is unclear what type or level of fees states would accept.
