At the 2026 Nanjing Software Conference, the Fifth Electronics Research
Institute of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology launched a
working group to establish a domestic AI hardware‑software collaborative
innovation ecosystem. The group, led by the MIIT institute and joined by the CAS
Institute of Software, CAS Institute of Computing Technology, Beijing Academy of
Artificial Intelligence, Sugon, Kunlunxin, Suiyuan Technology and SenseTime,
will unite industry, academia, research and users across the full chain to
address key coordination shortfalls in China’s AI industry.
