Pakistan's foreign ministry said on July 2 that, as mediators, Qatar and
Pakistan held separate talks in Doha with US and Iranian negotiators on
implementing the US-Iran memorandum of understanding and making positive progress
on several specific issues. The ministry said the parties agreed to continue
negotiations and to set the next round as soon as possible, and that the next
meeting is expected to take place shortly after the funeral ceremony for Iran's
former supreme leader Khamenei.
