At the open, China’s main futures contracts were mostly higher. Shanghai silver
and platinum rose over 2%; Shanghai zinc, live hogs, Shanghai tin, cast
aluminum, Shanghai gold and red dates gained more than 1%. On the downside,
synthetic rubber fell over 2%; SC crude oil, fuel oil, eggs, 20# rubber and PVC
dropped more than 1%; soda ash and styrene (EB) declined around 1%.
