A rare European heatwave—record highs in Germany and the Czech Republic and
national high-temperature warnings in Hungary and Poland—has lifted demand for
air conditioners, fans and other cooling products, boosting China-origin orders
via cross-border e-commerce. The international trade director of a Ningbo-based
joint-stock firm, Zheng Li, said ice machine shipments to Europe from
January–May rose more than 70% YoY and now account for about 15% of the
company's sales.
