Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi told Iraq’s foreign minister during a visit
that Iran will fully supervise and manage the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days.
He said he had briefed Baghdad on recent outcomes of the war imposed on Iran and
progress on a memorandum of understanding with the US. Araghchi said Iran bears
sole responsibility for the waterway and that, once all obstacles are cleared,
full transit capacity will be restored; any interference or unilateral action by
other parties or countries would worsen the situation and delay reopening.
