Payden & Rygel MD Jordan Lopez said at a webinar that investor interest in
high-yield corporate credit remains strong even in a rising-rate environment. He
said most buyers are yield-seekers rather than spread-seekers, focusing on
total/absolute yield; US high-yield total yield is above 7% and many investors
base buying decisions on that aggregated yield.
